Pre-sessional English
We will add a pre-sessional English course to your offer if your English language skills are not strong enough to go straight into an academic course at the College. We offer English tuition from an approximate equivalent of IELTS level 4.0 upwards.
We offer two kinds of English preparation: pre-sessional English preparation for pre-masters courses, and integrated English for foundation certificate courses.
When you apply: proving your English ability
Even if you choose to take one of our Pre-sessional English courses, you will need to show proof of your English language ability when you apply to study at the College. This usually takes the form of an IELTS test (or equivalent). Prospective students are reccommended to sit the PTE Academic test (Pearson’s test of English academic). It’s fast, reliable and secure and consists of just a single three-hour session that covers all four skills. Available around the world, the test can be arranged with just 48 hours notice and results are typically available within five business days.
