Pre-Masters course academic entry requirements
In general, entry to a Pre-Masters course requires you to have an undergraduate degree, equivalent to a UK ordinary degree. Contact us for specific entry requirements for different countries.
English language ability
IELTS 5.0 (or equivalent) for entry to a three-term course
IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) for entry to a two-term course
You will need to show proof of English language ability – usually an IELTS test (or equivalent SELT
). A higher IELTS score means your course will be shorter and you can progress to the University of Glasgow more quickly.
Applicants who provide an IELTS certificate must have an overall score that is within one bandwidth of the IELTS entry requirement for their chosen course. Additionally, no single score for the speaking, listening, reading and writing elements may be less than IELTS 4.0.
Please note: All entry requirements are minimum grades only and must be from approved institutions of higher education.
For information on whether a qualification is from an approved institution please contact the Application and Admissions Centre. All admissions decisions are at the sole discretion of the College.
