Sheffield International College

The Sheffield International College is a joint education partnership with the University of Sheffield. When the College opened, it was the first partnership of its type with a Russell Group university in the UK.

In 2007, 74% of students received unconditional offers to continue their studies at the University of Sheffield.

There are two Foundation programmes:

Foundation Certificate in Business, Law and Social Sciences

Foundation Certificate in Science and Engineering

Upon successful completion of the Foundation programme, students progress to the first year of a three-year undergraduate degree.

There are two Graduate Diploma programmes:

Graduate Diploma in Business, Law and Social Sciences

Graduate Diploma in Science and Engineering

Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma programme, students progress to the taught postgraduate degree of their choice.

Programmes at Sheffield International College start in September and January each year, so students can progress to the University the following September.

Pre-sessional English language starts at various times throughout the year. Students do not apply for pre-sessional language – it is automatically added to the offer, if appropriate.

Details of student life at Sheffield International College

“I am planning to study MSc Management at the University of Sheffield. Although I have a finance degree from my university at home, I am not familiar with the structure and the content of Masters degrees in the UK, so I decided to come to the College first to prepare myself”.
