We know that making the decision to come to the UK to study can be expensive, and funding international studies is a big commitment.

The good news is that students at Liverpool International College will have the chance to benefit from a number of scholarships that have been specially provided for them.

Scholarships for University entry from September 2012

Undergraduate scholarships:

  • LIC Merit Awards – £2,500 for all non-clinical students who achieve 70% or above in their Foundation Certificate grades. This scholarship is automatically applied, so you do not need to apply for this.
William Magere from Tanzania was awarded an undergraduate scholarship! Read his story by clicking on the ‘student story’ link on the right of this page.

Postgraduate scholarships:

  • There are 50 x £3,000 Faculty Scholarships for students who achieve 70% or above in their Graduate Diploma grades. These scholarships are competitive and must be applied for. It is open to all overseas international students (not just LIC students) holding an offer for a PGT (postgraduate taught) programme.

Student Story
William Magere , LIC student

I believe that you can get the best education in the UK. That is why, when I was studying my A-Levels in Tanzania, I approached agent in Dar-es-Salaam about studying abroad.

The agency recommended Liverpool International College to me because it is easy for me to get admission to the University of Liverpool as a LIC graduate

I wasn't too worried about coming to the UK, but when I got here I was surprised that the cost of living is so much more expensive than it is at home. I love the city of Liverpool though. It is a very cool city with an atmosphere that is conducive to studying and leisure. Security is also very good: people can move around at any time, even midnight, with full confidence.

At the college I was fascinated by the staff. Especially the way they are committed and dedicated to helping the students. They are always ready to help students, whenever and wherever possible. I think this is good.

My friends and family are very excited, especially because I have passed with distinction. I will surely recommend LIC to students from my country!
