The University of Glasgow moves up the international rankings

The University of Glasgow has moved up 18 places in an international ranking system for higher education establishments. The university has risen from 77th to 59th position out of a total of 600 surveyed worldwide, underlining its position as one of the world’s foremost academic institutions.

“This is our best ever performance in the QS World University rankings” explained Principal of Glasgow Professor Anton Muscatelli. “Being in the top 1% of world universities is fantastic, and is a tribute to our tremendously hard working staff, researchers and students.”

The University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in Britain and offers international students excellent preparation for higher education studies in the UK. Foundation Certificates and Diploma courses in Business, Social Sciences, Science and Engineering provide routes to undergraduate degree programs at the university, while pre-masters courses offer preparation for postgraduate study.
