Student Story

"Before I came to the UK I was studying in schools in Nakwy, Kenya. I chose this country for my further education because UK universities have always been among the top universities in the world and the chance to study in the UK would have made my dream come true. I found out about NTIC through a university admissions programme in Nairobi, Kenya, named Unisen and I chose this college partly because it is based in Nottingham and this has always been an area of fascination for me.

Back home in Tanzania I am quite lazy! I knew coming here and living and studying by myself would get me out of this mode and help me become more independent and this is something I really wanted to achieve when coming here!

I studied a Diploma in Business which taught me a lot of useful skills and knowledge that I needed for university. What I liked most about the course were the different cultures in our classes. I was able to make lots of friends from so many different countries. Life in the UK was quite simple to get used to. Once you adopt, it’s easy to fall in love with the system, the people and the way of life!

NTIC itself are very helpful from the moment you land at London Heathrow to the time you progress to university they’re always there for you. I think studying here has definitely changed me as a person. I’ve become more responsible, more organised and more confident! Now that I have studied here I feel much more prepared to start university life and my family are very proud of my accomplishments and they are pleased that I am living my dream, studying in the UK! I would absolutely recommend NTIC as it is a good way to progress onto university."
