Progression DegreesStudent Story

"Before I came to the UK to study, I completed my GCSE’s and my A-Levels. I chose to come to the UK because I think it has the best education in the world!

I found out about NTIC through the Kaplan International College website and I chose this college because of the pathway system. I chose to study a Diploma in Business and it was a great course as the content related to everything that I wanted to study at university level.

I wanted to study BA Business Management and Information systems at Nottingham Trent University and I have always wanted to learn about E-Business and that is why I chose the course. It is very tough nowadays but I am trying to develop myself and my learning about e-business.

At NTIC there are some very good teachers and a great support network. NTIC have formed the basis of my learning and I appreciate all the support and mental learning I have received from NTIC. The college has given me the confidence to push forward and they have developed my ambition.

NTIC has helped me improve a lot of my weaknesses too. My writing skills have developed and I am determined about studying properly to reach great success and get to the top. It was hard at the beginning but the support of the teachers has helped me a lot especially to push myself.

Studying here has given me an amazing experience in my life which will play a vital role for my career. I have made friends with a variety of different cultures, became very independent and got used to taking on responsibility. I am a much more confident person and I can take everything I learnt here on to my stage of my education in this country!"

Mahidul Bhuiyan from Bangladesh, progressed from the Diploma in Business programme at Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC) to year 2 of BA Business Management and Information Systems, where he gained the highest mark of all students in his year in the Marketing module.
