Student Story
"I decided to come to the Nottingham Trent International College to study the Art and Design Foundation course in order to join the first year course of graphic design at NTU. Throughout my art and design projects, I found out many interesting things which enriched my knowledge and have made a much clearer and deeper picture of what the art world is. We explored definitions, colours, pictures, historical and contemporary artists and designers as well as visiting art galleries. In the art and design world the meaning of "what you see" can never be thought of literally. A picture is equivalent to a thousand words, just like the explanation of your final pieces - let your imagination thrive! In my opinion, the themed projects are very helpful for choosing your course at NTU. The projects broaden your abilities as an artist and give you the chance to create beautiful structures based on general themes such as contemporary jewellery and music. Another point worth mentioning is the improvement in my English, grammar and accent. I have now successfully progressed onto Nottingham Trent University to study Graphic Design. I believe that it was a wise choice to do the Foundation course in Art and Design."
