Foundation Certificate entry requirements

In general, entry to the Foundation Certificate requires you to have passed Grade 12 (or equivalent). Contact us for specific entry requirements for different countries.

English language ability

You will need to show proof of English language ability – usually an IELTS test (or equivalent SELT ). A higher IELTS score means your programme will be shorter and you can progress to Nottingham Trent University more quickly.

From September 2011 the minimum English language requirement for Foundation Certificates in Business, Law and Social Sciences as well as Media & Communications will be IELTS 5.0 for the 3 term course and IELTS 5.5 for the 2 term course.
