Study at The University of Sheffield

The University of Sheffield is one of the UK’s most prestigious academic institutions. In 2014 it was ranked number one in the UK for student experience (Times Higher Education Award).

Located on the University campus, Sheffield International College runs foundation education courses that prepare students for the challenge of degree-level study at the University. Students who complete their foundation course to the required level are guaranteed a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the following areas: business, law, the social sciences, science and engineering.

A warm welcome for international students
International College students are met at Manchester International Airport when they arrive in the UK. A five-day orientation programme helps them make friends and settle into the College.

State-of-the-art facilities for students
The University is committed to providing the best facilities for its students. £23million was recently invested in a new Information Commons, a library that gives students access to a range of digital / printed learning resources and IT facilities.

Sheffield Students’ Union was rated the top UK student union in 2013 (Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey). There are plenty of opportunities for students to socialise, discover new interests and explore the UK.
