About the International College
Sheffield International College prepares international students for an academic degree course at The University of Sheffield. We provide pathway courses that help bridge the gap between the international qualifications of foreign students, and the qualifications that The University of Sheffield requires. Our courses are able to lead international students to professional success in a variety of disciplines.

Our preparation courses
SIC makes it possible for students from all over the world to study at the prestigious University of Sheffield, named “University of the Year” for 2011 by Times Higher Education. On successful completion of one of our four university preparation courses at the required level, you will be guaranteed a place on your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses at The University of Sheffield.
Our four courses are:
- Foundation Certificate in Business, Law and Social Sciences
- Foundation Certificate in Science and Engineering
- Graduate Diploma in Business, Law and Social Sciences
- Graduate Diploma in Science and Engineering
Foundation Certificates prepare you for entry on to the first year of an undergraduate degree, and Graduate Diplomas prepare you for postgraduate study.
