Foundation courses in London
KIC London offers two Foundation Certificates for international students seeking a preparation course for undergraduate degrees at the University of Westminster. We offer:
- Foundation Certificate in Business, Law and Social Sciences
- Foundation Certificate in Science and Engineering
Course structure
Foundation Certificate courses contain three elements:
Academic skills modules
Develop key academic skills including research, writing, presentation and analysis.
Subject modules
Understand the basics of your chosen area of study before focusing on the particular topics and skills you will need most in your chosen undergraduate degree course.
Student tutorials
A Learning Support Tutor will work with you throughout your academic course at KIC London, and support you in achieving your study goals. Through regular meetings, your tutor will ensure that you receive the best possible education before you begin your degree at the University of Westminster. They are on hand to offer valuable advice and to help you develop your study skills and subject knowledge.
All modules are taught with your progression to the University of Westminster in mind. Each module is tailored to meet the needs of international students progressing to their related undergraduate degree course.
English Language tuition is also available for students that do not meet the required English levels.
Guaranteed progression to an undergraduate degree
If you successfully complete the Foundation Certificate at the required level, your progression to a related undergraduate degree at the University of Westminster is guaranteed. Progression is in to Year 1 of the undergraduate degree course.
